Jacky Pankhurst
With 10+ years experience as a social media strategist Jacky works across the Scottish traditional music and creative communities. Activities include building audience development and engagement, event and tour promotion, album launches and crowdfunding campaigns. In addition she continues to work on funded collaborative projects using her background in organisational development to offer project management support and advice, alongside social media activity.
Recent projects include a social media campaign for the successful Edinburgh Fringe run for ‘Deiseil; Dancing in Time’ working alongside Amy Geddes and Alison Carlyle and team to promote the show and raise awareness of the story of stepdance in Scotland and beyond. Jacky is a core member of the Storylands Sessions team in Badenoch & Strathspey, now in its 6th successful season focusing on cultural heritage and developing performance opportunities (music, storytelling, dance and poetry) across the community.
Jacky has worked with some of Scotland’s most highly regarded musicians from the traditional, roots and classical worlds, working with them to develop and grow their online community and engagement, offering tailored social media campaigns to support album launches, tours, teaching and composition activities, often creating connections for collaborative opportunities.
