Sold Out Shows at the Edinburgh Fringe

In August 2025, Deiseil: Dancing in Time premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Performed in the round at The Space @ Venue 45, the show wowed audiences who came to see it from across Scotland and overseas. 

Described as a “spine tingling story” (All Edinburgh Theatre ★★★★★) and “the most joyful show I’ve seen so far this Fringe” (The Scotsman ★★★★★), the show had an outstanding reception from audiences and critics alike.

Over 8 performances, we sold 90% of tickets, with 4 sold out shows. 

Almost a third of people who saw the show gave feedback using our feedback postcards, online comments or videos recorded after performances, with common themes suggesting people learned & want to learn more about the stepdance; people want Deiseil to be seen widely and people had an overwhelmingly emotional response to the show.

The show made the front page of the Scotsman’s Festival pull-out and was featured in Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of the Fringe. It was also featured on BBC Alba in the lead up to opening night.
